OVH Public Cloud à la carte billing: what changes in October 2026

From 1 October, Generation 3 Public Cloud bills separate compute, local storage, and public IPv4. This is an invoice-reading guide, not a made-up average price increase.

What changed

OVH keeps the B3, C3, and R3 compute price unchanged. Local low-latency storage and public IPv4 move out of the all-in-one line and become separate charges from 1 October 2026, including for some commitments already in progress.

Small instances feel the change most because fixed storage and IPv4 lines are a larger share of a small bill. OVH's published examples range from about 1.4% to 21.9% for the same configuration, depending on size.

How to read the invoice

  1. Identify the instance family and region. Confirm that it is Generation 3 B3, C3, or R3.
  2. Keep the compute line separate from local low-latency storage. Count the billed GB and hours.
  3. Count every public IPv4 line. It is billed independently, including when it is not attached.
  4. Compare the new total with the old all-in-one total, then check the Savings Plan terms. Do not apply a headline percentage to an unlisted SKU.

Who should audit first?

Audit a small instance, a fleet with several public IPv4s, or a workload carrying a large local disk first. If the new total no longer fits the workload, compare a resize, private networking, or another provider. For a full product-and-renewal checklist, see OVH October 2026 price change.
