1GB RAM for a small cached site; 2GB RAM is a better baseline.
A small cached WordPress site can run on 1GB RAM. A safer real-world default is 2GB RAM, especially if you use plugins, backups, image processing, or WooCommerce.

1-2 vCPU / 2GB RAM / 40GB+ SSD with backups.
Move up for WooCommerce, heavy plugins, or uncached traffic spikes.
WordPress performance depends on PHP, MySQL, cache configuration, disk I/O, and plugin behavior. A VPS gives more control than shared hosting, but it also makes you responsible for updates, security, and backups.
Use 2GB RAM for a serious site. Use 1GB only when you are comfortable tuning cache, swap, and backups yourself.
